We are The Jersey Girls, a grassroots organization that raises funds to support the highest needs in the cancer program at Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre. All funds raised via donation or at Jersey Girls organized events stays in our community to support those projects. 

 

In 2023, our fundraising efforts support fully funding the purchase of an ultrasound bladder scanner machine to support the work of the Radiation Department at Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre. This is a $15,000 piece of equipment nearing the end of its life and is in need of replacing. A new scanner with innovative technology will have immediate impact and assist our healthcare teams allowing patients to receive the vital care they need.

 

Past projects supported by The Jersey Girls:

2015 - Purchase of a new anesthesia machine.

2016 - Redevelopment of the radiology suites.

2017 - Expansion of the stem cell department to allow for 50% more treatments to be done.

2018 - Addition of a mental health program including the development of appropriate therapeutic spaces to support private and family counselling and group therapy.

2019 - Expanding the clinical space in the Rapid Evaluation and Symptom Support Cancer Centre (RESSCU).

2020 - Building a sustainable and effective virtual care program.

2021 - Purchase of a new 3D array detector for the hospital.

2022 - Purchase of a new CyberKnife.
