We are The Jersey Girls, a grassroots organization that raises funds to support the highest needs in the cancer program at Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre. All funds raised via donation or at Jersey Girl organized events stays in our community to support those projects.
In 2021 our fundraising efforts will be supporting the purchase of a new 3D array detector for the hospital. Radiation is an important part of many cancer patients’ treatment plans. The purchase of a state-of-the-art 3D array detector will help enhance the safety and quality of radiation treatment plans, as it ensures an even greater level of accuracy in measuring radiation doses during quality checks.
Past projects supported by The Jersey Girls:
2015 - Purchase of a new anesthesia machine.
2016 - Redevelopment of the radiology suites.
2017 - Expansion of the stem cell department to allow for 50% more treatments to be done.
